THE ROLE OF CYBERSECURITY IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
The study aims to: (1) investigate the role of cybersecurity in facilitating digital transformation, (2) identify key cybersecurity measures that protect digital assets, and (3) evaluate the impact of cybersecurity on digital trust and adoption. A survey design was chosen for its ability to capture insights from IT and security professionals. The sample size, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula, included 377 respondents from technology firms in Abuja, ensuring comprehensive insights. The technology sector was chosen due to its high exposure to cybersecurity risks. The survey instrument achieved a reliability coefficient score of 0.87. Findings indicate that robust cybersecurity measures significantly enhance digital trust, adoption, and overall digital transformation success. Recommendations include investing in advanced cybersecurity technologies, fostering a culture of security awareness, and continuously monitoring and improving cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets.
